The Wilder Mile

Freedom Fry can best be described as just another typical L.A.-based internationally-influenced boy-girl indie duo. Yet the pair still makes wonderful music. My heart jumps a little bit each time that Parisian Marie Sarat’s vocals jump in to mix with those of Bruce Driscoll, the band’s American half. Why bother deviating from a classic indie sound that already works — especially when it works really, really well? I was thrilled to learn that they are opening for Stromae at Fox Theatre this Thursday … to be honest, I’m equally excited to watch their set and the main act.
